Sports are a common past time and passion for many, regardless of nationality. Differences, however, in training methodology or treatment innovation can be associated with the country or sports league. The NBA is no exception. Injury management and performance training differs globally but especially in the world of the NBA.

Tips

This year we can admit 16 participants into the course. In the event interest in the program exceed capacity, first preference will be given to those who registered and paid tuition for the course.
Students pursuing program participation accept financial responsibility. GEU will take measures to mitigate financial risks, although will not be liable for loss.

Athletic Training 101

Participants in this experience will have an opportunity to learn from NBA athletic training staff during the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas. This NBA staff-led program will educate students on the cultural and industry differences between Japan and the United States from a sport, and medical perspective. Participants will learn the importance of teamwork, good coordination and critical thinking during the high-pressured NBA environment they could one day be a part of themselves. They will learn what it takes to be successful in the fast-paced world of the NBA.

English Study and Cultural Engagement

During this 10-day program, students will also learn basic English survival and industry terms and gain insights on the educational system, credentials, and training that prepares sports medicine professionals.
